Cecilia Iole

Cecilia is a Chicago-based actor, born and raised in sunny Tempe, Arizona. 

Cecilia earned her BFA in Musical Theatre from The University of Arizona. As a company member of Arizona Repertory Theatre, Cecilia was classically trained in Shakespeare, Chekov, Commedia dell’arte, Restoration and Moliere. She is a certified actor combatant from the Society of American Fight Directors in Unarmed, Rapier/Dagger and Broadsword. Favorite school credits include The Fantasticks (Luisa), A Little Night Music (Mrs. Nordstom), and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Snug). 

In Chicago, Cecilia has appeared as Johanna in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Paramount Theatre), Rapunzel in Into the Woods (Writers Theatre), Cunegonde in Candide, Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, and Little Red in Into the Woods (Music Theater Works), Sophie u/s in Masterclass and Mary u/s in Rutherford and Son (TimeLine Theatre) and New Faces Sing Broadway Now (Porchlight Music Theatre).

Regional credits include Mabel in Pirates of Penzance and Ensemble in Ragtime at Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City, UT, Street Singer/Sister-in-Law/Ensemble in A Christmas Carol at The Denver Center for the Performing Arts in Denver, CO, Cunegonde in Candide at Clarence Brown Theatre in Knoxville, TN and The Little Mermaid (Ariel), Les Miserables (Cosette), Titanic: The Musical (Caroline) at Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre in Grand Lake, CO.

In her spare time, Cecilia loves to read and drink copious amounts of coffee. She enjoys skiing and traveling and binge-watching Gilmore Girls.
